This month, we look into the Sukuk Al Ijarah Standard Documentation Templates recently published by the International Islamic Financial Market.
The long-awaited templates mark the culmination of IIFM standardisation efforts following extensive consultation with industry participants and advice by Clifford Chance Middle East. They are also the first in a series of standards intended to bring greater transparency, legal certainty and Shari’ah harmonization to traditionally complex Sukuk structuring and documentation.
As a result, we would expect corporate access to Islamic capital markets to ease and the supply of Sukuk in the primary markets to expand.
Get in touch if you want to learn more about these templates and how Wethaq Capital Markets can help with standardised and compliant Sukuk issuances.
